Every month, a new "Book of the Month" is read to every class. Each classroom gets a copy of the book or it is available on the J drive for the classroom to view on the smartboard.
Students are encouraged to write a response to the book. In their response, students can make a personal connection to the book. A text to self connection is when something in the book reminds you of something that happened in your own life.
