This page is basically dedicated to technology resources, but there is another page you might check out as well. it's the Informal Professional Development article Flipboard, and you can find it on the Tech Resources for Teachers site, or just click here.

Summer is a great time to become more acquainted with Microsoft Office 365 and all the great tools and resources it offers. Thee are many classes being held during July and August and you might sign up for some of these. You can also find a lot of great information on the Office 365 Page on the Tech Resources for Teachers site. You can reach it here:

A few more suggestions for the teacher wanting to learn technology this summer taken from EducationalWorld, http://www.educationworld.com/a_tech/tech/tech219.shtml include:

  • Set one technology goal this summer and focus your efforts on it. (Moxley) (Office 365?)
  • Read teachers' blogs and perhaps use a free program such as Blogmeister to create your own. (Rutledge)
  • Join a user group such as like EdTech, or an online community such as TappedIn. (Wagner)

Finally, don't forget to take some time to relax and let your brain recharge! As Judy Rutledge notes, "Sometimes it is in the relaxed state that the best ideas pop in, and summertime gives teachers the renewed energy to tackle those great ideas."

Enjoy your summer!
