are committed to providing Niagara Falls City School District
the technology leadership and expertise for linking a community
of learners to the world.
Computer networks, satellite communications, automated
libraries, classroom workstations, teacher laptop computers and
a District link to all schools and offices from two centralized
AS400 operating systems all provide information, instruction and
student learning opportunities that will best serve our students
and staff into the 21st century. Communications among students
and staff is enhanced through an electronic bulletin board and
e-mail. The world is at their fingertips via the Internet
The Information Services Department provides for leadership
roles in administrative data processing and student records
management tasks within the Niagara Falls City School District.
Major responsibilities include support, maintenance, and data
processing for the CIMS student database, human resource
and financial system.
Specific tasks include: student
records and attendance management, registration updates, grade
reporting, standardized test and local assessment scoring and
reporting, district wide report cards, timesheets and payroll,
custom report design, and other administrative research,
evaluations, and statistical analyses.
